The ‘78 Model is inspired by a project for the late and great Eddie Van Halen as a means to take the rich harmonics of a P.A.F. and give it an extra push. Using an Alnico 2 magnet and a hot wind, this humbucker recreates the custom wound humbucker for EVH himself. The humbucker excels at pronounced artificial harmonics and offers a warm crunch to overdriven tones. Perfect for rock and blues.
