Dino Cazares of Fear Factory & Divine Heresy has always been a guitarist never afraid to push the boundaries of extended range 7 & 8 string guitars. Using low tunings and crushing high gain amps, Dino partnered with Seymour Duncan to custom tuned pre-amp to meet his needs, creating the Retribution. Similar to the original Blackouts, the Retribution offers an open organic sound that’s been tuned to leave all strings feeling even and balanced as a means to prevent the 7th & 8th strings from clashing with the high plain strings. This is a great choice for extended range players who use low tunings like Drop F# to get that massive sound while still maintaining plenty of clarity.
