Up for your consideration is a G&L Fullerton Deluxe Kiloton 5 string bass guitar in Graphite Metallic finish. The electronics have been play tested and working as they should and it sounds fantastic. This Kiloton has an Ash body with an Ebony fingerboard, it features the Leo Fender designed G&L MFD Humbucker pickups and the G&L Saddle-Lock with chrome-plated brass saddles. This one may be a special order color with the Ebony board, very nice fresh condition and will have the original Certificate of Authenticity and ship with the original F&L Gig Bag.
When G&L closed its doors in October 2025, MIRC obtained the remaining inventory. This instrument is one of the final production models to come off the G&L line in Fullerton, California.
The G&L Fullerton Deluxe Kiloton 5 is a 5-string bass that delivers explosive power in Leo Fender's most comfortable body silhouette, designed for players who prefer potent simplicity over complex preamps. Its immense voice is derived solely from a single Magnetic Field Design (MFD) humbucker placed in the bridge sweet spot, firing aggressively without the need for a preamp. This raw power is harnessed by a 3-position toggle switch that offers series, split, and parallel coil modes, unveiling a wide range of sonic textures using just the volume and tone controls. The bass is armed with a rigid 6-bolt neck joint and Leo's Saddle-Lock bridge, which transfers all the energy right into the swamp ash body for incredible sustain and resonance, making the Kiloton 5 a new force of nature ready for maximum impact.
