Up for sale is a Gretsch G6129T-53VS Vintage Select 1953 Duo Jet. This one came to us in great shape! The electronics have been play tested and working as they should. There may be some very light surface scratching but is in overall excellent condition. This one does not include a case.
The Gretsch G6129T-53 1953 Duo Jet Electric Guitar is a limited-edition solid body instrument that delivers outstanding resonance and superb dynamic response, paying tribute to a classic Gretsch design with a unique purple sparkle finish. The solid body features a vintage-style chambered African mahogany body with an arched 3-ply laminated maple top. The 1-piece African mahogany neck features a Standard U profile and a set neck joint. A bound rosewood fretboard with a 12-inch radius hosts 22 medium frets, integrated across the 24.6-inch scale length, featuring a 42.8mm (1.685-inch) bone nut.
Sonic horsepower is delivered by dual TV-Jones T-Armond humbuckers (bridge and neck), providing fantastic clarity, chiming overtones, and aggressive edge. Controls include master volume, neck volume, bridge volume, and a master tone knob with a treble bleed circuit. Visual detailing includes gold sparkle body binding and pearloid white vintage wider big block inlays.
